Jury and governance
The jury is convened by the AUA Commission for Women and works under a published code of conduct.
Composition
The panel brings together practising architects, academics and community-development specialists from across the African regions, with a balance of student and professional experience. Panel members for the 2026 cycle are announced ahead of the assessment period.
Code of conduct
- Jurors see anonymous codes only, never entrant names or evidence files.
- Conflicts of interest are declared before assessment begins.
- Scores and comments are recorded and retained for audit.
- Deliberations remain confidential until results are published.
Decisions
Final decisions are recorded by the jury chair and countersigned by the competition administrator. Results are published on 31 January 2027 at 17:00 WAT.
