How entries are judged

Assessment and criteria

All entries are assessed anonymously. Criteria, weights and scoring scales are approved by the Competition Committee and published here once confirmed in the Official Competition Brief or Regulations.

Assessment criteria

To be confirmed in the Official Competition Brief. This website does not publish criteria, weights or point totals that have not been formally approved.

Process

  • Technical and eligibility review confirms completeness, anonymity and evidence.
  • Each compliant entry is reviewed by assigned jurors under its anonymous code.
  • Assessments are moderated in a jury session and decisions are recorded.
  • Identities are revealed only after final decisions are recorded.
  • Jurors declare conflicts of interest and are excluded from affected entries.

Grounds for rejection

  • Identifying information where anonymity is required.
  • Submission formats that do not meet the requirements confirmed in the Official Competition Brief.
  • Missing declarations or unverified eligibility evidence.
  • Plagiarism or fabricated evidence.

Appeals

No appeal is permitted against architectural merit. The appeals procedure for eligibility or technical rejections is confirmed in the approved Regulations.
